Meditation in Motion

Movement is an ongoing element of life. Even while we are asleep, our bodies move without awareness.
Resting the physical can be as easy as sitting or lying down, but most of the time, our mind keeps moving.

The mind, with all of its complexities (conscience or unconscious) is in constant motion.
Meditation in all its forms and methods works as a way to rest both the physical and
mental states of being human. Focusing on a task generally keep the mind off of our troubles,
but when we rest our bodies, our minds tend to fill will worries, recreating past and upcoming events,
making lists, and wandering. It takes a conscious effort to quiet the mind and let the
constant stream of thoughts just pass through.

Meditation in Motion works on both the physical and mental aspects of relaxation.
Using music, energy visualization, gentle motion, stretching, and breath, participants can
discover and choose what works best for them to focus and quiet the mind.

 

Monday Evenings 7 - 8pm

Cost is $3 per person drop in.
$20 for 6 session punch card.

Please arrive by 7pm. Doors will be closed at start of session to avoid distractions.
Wear comfortable ease of movement clothing. No street shoes in meditation area.
Parking on left side of house as well as in front of garage. Entrance is at the back of the house, lower level.

This is a scent free zone!
Please refrain from wearing scented products including essencial oils.
